Hi everyone, my name is Jess. Archie is 16 weeks tomorrow and is an amazing pup. We got Archie as a surprise for my husbands 40th birthday after a few years of him begging . But he is my baby. Archie has a brother, Buddy, an 11 year old Bichon Frise. He also has three human sisters who adore him. I look forward to getting to know you all. Fingers crossed the forum stays open as it’s definitely one of a kind

Buddy LOVES every dog he ever meets and is very respectful if the other dog doesn’t want to play. The first time I have ever heard him growl was at Archie. Until two weeks ago they would see each other maybe twice a week. Buddy was staying with my parents as we didn’t have a fence at our new house. Two weeks ago we brought Buddy home. Archie would chase him around, bite play and jump on him. Buddy doesn’t want any of it. On Friday last week Buddy had an emergency surgery to remove a lump that he has had for the last year that now got infected. The vet did a biopsy and said there is some abnormal cells. Waiting on pathology results. So we don’t let Archie around Buddy much at the moment as Buddy needs his rest. Honestly, it took me by surprise that Buddy was growling at Archie. It’s not aggressive if that makes sense, it’s more like teaching him what’s ok and what is not acceptable. The vet suggested we let Buddy discipline Archie. Does this sound right? Maybe I should start another tread
