Is this a staffy thing? Empty Is this a staffy thing?

Post by Elise-R Mon Jan 04 2016, 20:03

When my dog Milo is running/playing he'll randomly just start rolling on the ground, it's so funny to watch. The thing is he's not actually rolling in anything, sometimes he's mid run and he just goes into a roll then starts rubbing his back on the ground. He only ever does it on walks and usually when he starts getting tired, I have a friend who has a staffy and he also does this although my mates with other breeds of dog only ever roll in disgusting things like poo Laughing

So is this a staffy thing? Or is my dog just weird? (could be both Laughing )

Had to include some pics of my crazy lunatic doing his thing! Laughing

Bug does this too! It's usually when she's running too fast and seems to throw herself onto the floor and skid along to slow down? She will also throw herself on the floor and roll around randomly, especially when it's sunny. When I worked in kennels, I did notice that staffies did this much more than other breeds.

Laughing Katy is ALWAYS rolling on our walks, sometimes she runs like crazy & throws herself on the floor, other times she just drops & rolls. It can be nothing or fox poo or even dead bodies (ranging from mice to worms) But they certainly like to roll Laughing Love Struck

Misty throws herself on the floor and has a good old roll around in the house quite a bit. She doesn't do it on walks (yet!)
