HI I TAKE MY ALMOST 6 1/2 MONTH OLD PUP FOR A 2.7 MILE WALK PER DAY. JUST WANTED TOO KNOW IF THIS WAS TO MUCH. THANKS

It really depends on what sort of walking you do. Is it all on lead, or does he get some off lead walk as well?

If it's all on lead, then it could be too much for his joints, but if some of it is free he should be ok. As long as he gets a chance to rest if it looks like he needs to.

Also take into account that hard surfaces are harsher on an younger dogs developing joints that soft surfaces. So you could walk him more on sand, grass, mud etc than on concrete or tarmac. This is because when the paw hits a hard surface shock waves travel up to the joints. On a soft surface some of the shock is absorbed as the grass/sand/mud gives under their feet.

he is lucky that he gets to go for a lovely walk each day.. so many dogs spend their days cooped up in a back yard all day.
but I am not sure of distances you should walk...
