Embarrassed

I had the the day off today and thought I would take Flo for an extended walk as she didn't get her full walk yesterday evening. I should have realised that things were not going to go well from the outset. I opened the door, she looked out saw there was no car on the drive and walked about 5 paces where she sat down, then layed down. This is her way of saying she doesn't want to walk Rolling Eyes

I picked her up (no mean feat) and carried her about 10 meters down the road where she scrabbled to get out of my arms and then merrily trotted off towards the park. Getting to the park took extra long as she insisted on sniffing just about everything in sight. Having finally got there we Made our way to the top of the hill where we would normally turn around and walk back down but I headed towards the gate. Well this threw her as we have never gone out of that gate. Imagine now all the other dog walkers laughing as I tried to coax one very obstinate Staffy out of a gate she really doesn't want to go out of Sad

From here we walked over to her big park... Oh the excitement when she realised where we were Smile

having then done Squirrel alley and had a rumble with a daft JRT we got cornered by the park keeper looking up trees for a missing bench confused

having assured him that neither me or Flo had seen said bench, we headed home.

Well now comes the really embarrassing part, we gets onto the main road which is now rush hour so loads of slow moving traffic and Flo decides for some reason that she wants to cross the main road. I had the full lot, a sit down refusal, a lay down refusal followed by a roll over refusal, she really really wanted to cross right at that point. All I could do was pick her up again whilst half the car drivers in South West London howled with laughter.

10 meters further on and she was walking along as if nothing had happened ! Why oh why did she want to cross the road, she's never even been on that side of the road Rolling Eyes

Ledger does the same mostly at night will point blank refuse to go in some directions and there is one point of road he won't cross at but we can go about 6ft up the other way then cross over and continue the 6ft back and continue on the original route!
