what a night

Decided we'd have a date night as the local seafood restaurant on the road had a great special on (side note: it takes a lot for me to leave the dogs at night even for a meal ). Huge areas have been without water and electricity today. Luckily we've had electricity. The restaurants have had neither.

Anyway - no tables free at the restaurant (everyone's gone out to eat and being Monday mid-month everywhere is under staffed). Went to the Italian next door - shocking service, horrible food.

Just managed to get the last few bottles of water of the supermarket shelf and its for Rox and Vin obviously - it's 30 degrees at nearly 8pm Can't have a shower at gym as that's on our road too, so no water. I feel hot sticky and horrible!!! And going to be very thirsty very soon.

Fingers crossed it does. Forgot to get wet wipes too to at least have a wipe down and shops are closed now - and very well out of bottled water

Are you able to get hold of wet wipes/ baby wipes there Lisa, a saving grace when water is in short supply, they do a great job of freshening you up

Completely forgot when I was at the shops.

I've just read that the power supply to the water supply went out, drastically reducing water levels. They say that power has been restored but the water levels are so low it will take hours to return to normal still. So here's hoping for a cold morning shower

Not too bad here at the mo Lisa, we have about 20 C heat and calm weather, blue skies and warm if that's a typical autumn I would love it to be Forever Autumn
