I have got a couple of those stick on window burglar alarms. They go off if the window is smashed,or tampered with.Anyway,i was lying in bed this moring, when i heard one go off! So i legged it into the living room, poor Cairo was hiding under her duvet wondering what as going on,and the stupid thing had only fallen off the glass and hit the floor oooppss! Time to get a better one i think lol.Im only glad it went off this morning, and not in the middle of the night!

When I was about to buy my first stafford the breeder asked me why I wanted one. I told her that I was alone a fair bit of the time (my OH worked shifts bacj then) & I wanted to feel safer, and have a companion that would also be good with the child I was expecting. She said........
1. He'd be fantastic with the baby,
2. He'd defend his family against all comers with his life,
3. If a burglar broke in he'd wag his tail & help the man pack the bags with the goodies! >Smile

Dempsey on the other hand won't let anyone over the threshold unless one of us is with them! He's a fantastic house dog & is a great protector when I take him to work. I'm a church secretary, with my office leading off the church. We sometimes get some strange people come into the church (my boss, the priest, doesn't believe in locking the church, he likes people to be able to come in whenever they want). Often there's no harm in them but occasionally you'll get someone who's obviously up to no good - they fiddle with the wall safes, look too closely at the candle sticks - you know the type. If that happens I take Dempsey out into the church on his lead. He's pretty wide & very heavy & looks quite intimidating. The sort of reaction I get ranges from a quick exit to a pointed "Does he bite?" My answer to that is always "Only if I tell him to!" Laughing
