Does she normally look that swollen in that area at this time ???

It's her first season, she's 9 months old, it was a bit of a shock to me I can tell you, I thought she was turning into a bloody dog, she's on day 18 now and the swelling is going down, she stopped bleeding 3 days ago.

She's actually alright with it, the build up to her season was worse, she was totally out of sorts, as for sticks, she's obsessed and the bigger the better, the one she is carrying in the video is small by comparison, she even tries to uproot bloody trees, carrying a stick stops her from eating all the duck poo though   

Katy is on her 3rd week of her 2nd season & she's swollen like that   

I'm going to let Thistle have 2 seasons, that will give me time to save up to have her neutered and I think she will be have time to mature a bit more physically, I don't hold with the vets practice of neutering pre season, it's like giving a pre pubescent girl a hysterectomy.
