Bailey will be keeping his crown jewels unless medically needed, unsure if I'll get Sierra done.

I recall a comment from you about having a male and female combo and saying it wasn't as bad as expected, think it was GSD's you had at the time (??) so just kept that in mind and got through with no problems Laughing

At least I know what to expect next time so will hopefully be even easier Big Grin

Harvey is never to bothered with a bitch in season either (not that we've had one in the house)

If you coped easily i'd personally leave them both entire Smile

I was giving him Gelsemium or whatever it's called from Dorwest, don't know if they worked or not lol!

I'm thinking of leaving them both entire tbh, although I have to admit I've not looked into the health benefits/risks in bitches! Been mostly male stats I have looked at!

I have just been through the heat experiance with my male and female staffies and its not that hard to keep the apart and i only lost a couple of nights sleep to a howling little makka.
I would not get a dog neutered again except if there are medical reasons. We where forced to neuter our female pitbull to comply with the law and its the worst thing I have every done cookie lost all her energy and is only interested in eating, but it meant she was not pts so we had no choice but if you have a choice think very carefully before neutering a dog/bitch just to have an easy life you could completely change the character of your beloved dog
