Pup's colour?

I actually joined for a colour problem, My bitch had 7 pups about a week ago(at last!), 3 dark brindle, 3 red fawn smut with beautiful white blazes, and one unknown colour, its like a brown grey/olive colour? I've spent hours looking but have not found even 1 dog with this colour, ive searched all bull terriers for this colour, when i figure out how to post pics ill show.

Without photos it's hard to say what the colour is. What colour are the parents? Sorry, just seen you have a dog and a bitch - are they the parents?

Just looking on Stamtavler, your dog is actually a blue brindle, so I would say that the pup in question is a dilute of some sort - either a blue brindle (with the full brindling not yet showing too much) or a deep fawn (possibly liver). Without seeing what's in your bitch's parentage it's very hard to say.

you think Buster is blue brindle? Ive had the pups in a darkened cool room (42 degrees in Leonora today) but I just realized the dark brindles are very bluey in the light, in fact, they all have a blue tint, Although, I never seen this in Buster?

Busters father was a blue brindle (tullabull still bluen) no pic on Stamtavler but his pics are googlable.

Buster is definitely blue brindle, no question about that.

What colours are in Bella's parentage?

bellas parents were white mother and brindle father

Looks like Bella has some red in her? Or is that red brindle on her head?

Looking at that, and taking a (very) wild guess without seeing photos, I'd say the odd coloured pup is probably a blue brindle, but with the brindling not yet showing too well.

At the time of this video, Bella had been missing in the Queensland bush for about 24 days, when we got her back, the vet had put stitches all through her back legs and pulled 38 cattle ticks from her, the vid was made within a week of getting her back, she`s had 17 pups since

Why so many? Pups, that is.

I think her fathers side had red, she has red patches on her head

she had 10 with max, and 7 this time

I assume, given her age, that this will be the last one?

Were they accidents or planned? Not criticizing, just interested.

Max actually Died while mating, he was hardcore, When she went on heat, it was bad for everyone, she would bleed from him mounting, if seperated, he would cry all night, he died aged 8

she will be desexed after all this

after her last litter, we all thought she was through, but she shocked us with this new litter

Wow, was he in poor health & you didn't know it? From what you say, I take it he was allowed to mate her any time he wanted? Not a good idea - they actually get far more stressed when a bitch comes into season that way.

no we tried to keep them apart but he was a smart dog!! he seemed fine till one morning he lost movement of his back legs (after mounting her all morning while i was at work) long story short, he was at vets for 5 days no improvement untill his organs started shutting down, very sad   

so he didn't actually die mating, but more for the cause! what a lad

oh it was for ol Maxy, he had a double personality, He wouldn't eat or sleep for days when she went on heat, we often joked it would kill him.... and yer..... it did  

that colour i was looking for is....wait for it........brindle blue fawn!!, thats one colour all over with a beautiful white blaze!!!will send pics later (clicked link.. cheers) 

It'll either be blue brindle (dilute of black brindle) or fawn brindle (dilute of red brindle). Looking forward to seeing the pics!

its kinda both, hence the difficulty finding the colour

i dont think you can get both, it be blue or fawn if you breed these colour together the pup are very likey would go back to the normal colour of black or red

Unfortunately it can't be both. Same as you can't have a black red brindle. It's either black brindle or brown/red brindle.

The blue & fawn come from colour dilution of either red or black.

Blue brindles, however, are often born mainly blue & the faint brindling can make them look a fawny-ish colour.

From what you're saying, I'd be very interested to see a photo. The markings you're describing sound more like merle.

In that case it sounds more like a fawn, but without picks it's so difficult to say.

if it was fawn, I wouldnt be asking..but ur right, i need to upload pics.... this will spin u guys out!!! like it has me
