first time staffy owner

Hi guys, I'm Ross and am from Caithness at the very top of Scotland. Just got my first ever staffy a week or so ago as a present from my girlfriend, she's a red bitch and I called her Mika. It's a bit of a shame as the owner was almost desperate to get rid of the puppys at the only 5 or 6 weeks. As she felt sorry for them, my girlfriend just took her as she felt Mika would be better off at our home:).

Gosh she's so young to have left her mother - the owner should be banned from having dogs! But Mika has a loving home now  Has she been to the vet's for a check, jabs, etc?

Yeah it's a shame but guess my girlfriend just thought she'd be better off with us . Not been to the vets yet, possibly a visit on payday:).

Congratulations on your new furbaby. As Jo said its too young to leave her mum but I got Katy at 6 weeks old & we were her 2nd home after leaving her mum!!!!!! Some people haven't got a clue. She will be very demanding of your time as she should still be with her mum & litter mates.  

Thanks! Yeah it's such a shame but I guess if we hadn't got her, she might have ended up with someone very horrible

That's what we thought with Katy, if we hadn't taken her she would have been dumped in kennels or worse. Enjoy her

Awww, she's such a sweet little thing!

I'd get her to the vets asap. You'll need to get her wormed urgently (I doubt the breeders would have bothered) and you can't start to socialise her until she's had her jabs. It's also a good idea to let the vet give her a good check over, seeing as she's so young.

Welcome. Please report this breeder to the local council and the RSPCA they are clearly very irresponsible and should not be allowed dogs.
