Took Rocky for his morning walk yesterday and we came across a large field, I was on the footpath near the road, and noticed 2 young kids playing around with 2 dogs, I tried to pass as quietly as possible so the dogs wouldn't notice us as I could tell they didn't have leads or collars, well the 2 pups came bolting over to us, one was a little staffy pup and the other looked an awful lot like a pitbull pup, and there are quite a few around here even though they are illegal. I moved away from the path so the dogs wernt near the road, and asked the kids where their leads were, they said they didn't have any, I was just shocked that parents would allow this, it's so dangerous near that road. Well the parents eventually came out and the father apologised as the little pitbull looking dog was quite rough with Rocky, I had to pick him up. We got talking about dogs and he said that he rescued them both, I asked what breed they were and he said he had no clue until I said it looks a tad like a pitbull, he picked up his dogs, walked off and told me to f* off

5 minutes away from my house, notice another dog off leash sitting in the driveway, the owner was standing right there and the dog starting growling, I asked the owner nicely to take hold of his dog so I could walk past as the GS came over to us, and it went straight for Rocky's neck, he just yelled at the dog and told it to get the * inside and the dog scoured off, Rocky was a bit shaken.

I'm just mortified that people allow there dogs to be in any danger, and with no leads, or collars. Makes me so frustrated! Mum think's I should report them, but I'm not sure if I should?

I would probably report the GS, it's clearly aggressive and so should be on lead!

In the UK it's law for a dog to wear a collar when outside, do you have a similar law there ?

If I read about how irresponsible people are, especially with GSD I get so sad and cross. They great dogs but need training and you have to be firm with them. They are huge dogs and if you can't be responsibil then you don't deserve to have them.

I'm so glad you guys were not hurt Maria.
