Should Human Cloning be Banned?

Should actual cloning of human beings be permitted or banned?

The prospect of scientists being able to clone human beings increases every year. More and more basic research is done and the chances that someone will successfully do it grow. Many fear this, arguing that it would dehumanize us. What do you think about cloning human beings?

It's just wrong, I don't agree with it.

I'm gonna say permitted. I don't know a lot about it, but if the agreement against it is the it will "dehumanize" us it doesn't bother me as I feel we are quite dehumanized anyway.

I'm all for progress, ya never know what having this sort of technology/ability could acheive. Could shed more light on curing diseases for example if we new we could create new, we could possibly replace bad?

I think it can be good if used to save lives etc but not just for the sake of it. The problem for me is where to draw the line and know when it is and isn't acceptable.
