I feel like saying A DOG, in the mood I am in at present it irritates me, yes I know Bruno has long legs but both parents are stafs so I was told, I am not bothered that he's not pure.

If I seen him in the park I would know straight away his breed as it shows in his cheeky face long legs or not.

That's weird, Loki has long legs and is big for a Staff but everyone's always assumed he's a Staff. People where you live must not be very observant

Or very bright Looking at your avatar I wouldn't think he is anything other that a staffy

Maybe they want me to tell them he's a pit bull

LOL are Ramsey and Bruno from the same litter then as Bruno is a little monster too.

If someone doesn't already know Logan is a Stafford I just says he's just a wee black dog. Saves any agro

They usually make a big fuss of him and say how cute he is then ask what he is and I laugh and say " He's one of those vicious staffies."
Felt great when one of our regular dog walking pals said that Bacchus dispels all the myths about nasty staffies.

I don't answer any more, i just tell them to stroke him if they want to find out.

know what you mean. Kinda like all the Pit talk I hear as people openly discuss my Staffs as they pass me on the street. I just smile most times, especially when they warn me what they will be like when they grow up. Apparently, most think it takes a Staff a lifetime to grow...

On the biting question, I just laugh and ask them how they expect they eat!

its truly surprising how many people just take your word for it or start asking questions about the breed (i of course give them a thorough and rich history of the breed)

We have had a few people stop and give Jango a stroke, ones who own staffs or have done, they say he is lovely. But some as soon as they find out have an issue. Today was nice. Although one bloke decided to tell me that he may change as his breed tend to and can become very vicous and told me I should change how I hold the lead in case he goes for another dog. I just said thanks and we left. I love the idea of making names up on the spot though. I think we will do that

Some 10yo asked me if lexi was a pit and i said does she look like one and they said no so i said why did you ask and they said just to see if you would tell me a pit cause it made her look tougher

Next time someone asks say he is a chihuahua, can't they tell?

I'd just say he was a chihuahua.

Example, a lady's pup came running up to Bruno and I never seen a person run so fast, I think she panicked because of his breed funny that her 6 month pup lab turned on Bruno lol

Ive had someone say to me 'oh you can tell the short dumpy black one (Inca) is a full staff but what about THAT ONE (Sky) !!! pointing down a finger at Sky .. An to tell you the truth i replied very sternely 'Do me a favour mate don't insult my dogs by calling Inca dumpy and Sky as a THAT' !!! ... Then the stupid said 'oh i didn't mean to upset you or insult ye dogs but its just ye Tan one has weird markings for it to be a staff' ... Now he's a bleedin expert aswell !!
When i said Sky might be a staffy x rottie he said 'christ youv'e got some trouble coming to you then' !!!! What an absolute bell end .....

ha ha ha, people are dumb. Tash has a pink ezydog collar and harness and cujo pink lead and people always say "oh he's gorgeous" or is it a boy lol

We know what you mean, we recently purchased ezydog gear and I purposely got pink camo so they could stop referring to her as a he...okay well also because I liked it too

A domesticated miniature english wood wolf.....

Id totally get silly with it

I love how everyone of the general public is a Staff expert

I had to take our Jack to the vets one day for a check up but I had to unlock the workshop at work for some guy doing some work there, one of which promptly told me that I have a Shar pei because Jack has some wrinkles on his face. Hahahaha.

We very often get asked what breed our dogs are, it's an obvious question to ask for those people who don't know enough about dogs to know or guess the breed themselves which makes it a very common question.

Especially at that age as many dogs look alike when pups to be fair its only when they have grown up its a lot easier to tell for the average Joe on the street.

Somebody asked me yesterday AINT THEY DANGEROUS? When she seen Bruno and I replayed no that's the owners if they are in the wrong hands!

When I was asked if Samson bites,I simply answered

"No, he just tastes"

Worked a treat and I got a good giggle when walking away.

Shazney, I honestly cant explain how much your little Bruno looks like my boy Frank!! He is gorgeous ... Franks legs looked way to long for his body but now he has started to bulk out his legs look tiny!

Shame about the stigma they have. But those with great owners are great dogs. Some people will walk the other way, let them. I have people asking what honey is all the time. I can see the staffie in her bless her. I met a couple with a staffie in the woods today they put him on the lead to walk past honey, I said not to worry coz honey was part staffie too. The guys comment was that most people arent like me It's not fair,but we all know how amazing our staffies are. I wouldn't change even if people paid me too. The staffie today would of had fun with honey all he wanted to do was play and so did honey bless them. They carried on walking past

say a poodle and watch them look at you like a crazy person

Hayley I love that one lol might have to try that myself. Sometimes I do say well what do you think she is. Honey has gone from being a boxer to a GSD and others lol

When people ask what gary is, I tell them that he is a Staffordshire Bull Terrior.
They can make there own mind up then what they think of him, i love him to bits and he loves me, personally i dont care no more when people change when they know hes a staffy, the only thing that annoys me is how humans can be so small minded but thats just how it is and it wont change.

Id like to think though that people meeting gary and seeing how playfull he is around there dogs that they go away with a slight different impression about the breed.... And their owners but if not i dont care.
