Crying some people

Post by eogh Tue May 15 2012, 14:01

Just being talking to a friend and he was tell me his oh 14 brother just got a staff and the pup is only 5 weeks old !!!! First off the lad is to young to look after a staff and is more interested in lookin "hard" and secondly what sore of horrible person sell a 5 week old pup. My friend was tellin me the pup is very sickly to and when they brought it to the vet he when mad at the lads father for letting him get the pup so early. What is wrong with ppl my family would never off let me do that. I don't blame the kid he's young and doesn't no better but his mother and father should. Really makes me sad if this pup does live wat sort of life will it have Crying or Very sad

So awful. Unfortunately, it is all too common for people to get their puppies too young these days. Sad

Once again, it's down to bad bybs - no reputable, serious breeder would allow this.

He could, and probably will, have awful behaviour problems with this pup, and that's assuming it will survive at all!

The first dog we got when I was a kid (alsatian/lab cross) was 4-5 weeks old, we answered a free to good home ad and the bloke said that the pups weren't planned and as they had a holiday booked if they weren't homed in 2 weeks they were going in a bag in the river! It may have been a line to get rid of them but needless to say we took a pup with us there and then!

This makes me so mad. You really have to wonder what, if any principles some people have. Sometimes I wish I didn't belong to the human race.

Im in a positive mood, so im going to say at least it was taken to the vet. That is always a good sign. Maybe this kid will turn out like that girl on Britains got talent, she was only 16.

Keep the faith.

(I know this is probably not true though. but like i said, im in a good mood lol)

From a responsibility point of view, yes. But the pup could have serious health & behavioural problems. Very, very sad.

5 weeks is way too young Sad I hope the poor pup will be ok.

Our first staffy, Tyson, we had to collect at 6 1/2 weeks. We were supposed to have him at 8 weeks, and we paid out deposit for him when he was 4 weeks. We got a message when he was 6 weeks saying the mum staff had jumped up and knocked a frying pan onto herself and was badly burnt. The vet had said to keep a tshirt or something on her, but the pups couldn't really jump up her. We left it a few days but we had to collect him or we were worried he would sell to someone else. We did see the mum, and she did have a very bad burn on her side, and we also checked Tyson over and checked he was eating and everything ok. We didn't have any health problems with Tyson, but we did have a few problems with seperation anxiety and at about 6/7 months dog aggression despite him being well socialised. I don't know if either of these were to do with him leaving so early or if they would've developed anyway, but I don't think it helped.
