I've been looking for places to take Maggie on her first holiday and wanted to go back to Cornwall (I love Cornwall ) and was really struggling to find somewhere that we didnt need to worry if Maggie made a bit of mess or if she ended up on the furniture (which is very likely). So after much searching and to little avail I decided to see what people recommended on her and soo pleased I did because the place Dave went to, Boturnell Farm Cottages, sounds perfect. Think I'm going to be booking a cottage first thing Monday morning
Anyway just wanted to say thank you because I was beginning to think I was going to have to dust off the tent from my festival days and forget all home comforts and go camping, I hate camping in a tent So not only have you all made Maggie's day with your recommendations you have also saved me from the horrible tenting experience I would have had to endure Hope everyone else has some happy holidays planned this year

Don't worry I plan on taking loads you will probably get sick of them all once I'm done I bought OH a new camera for Xmas so expect some arty ones too, if he ever works out how to use it that is

I hate camping too

Camping is the worst, well only if your in a tent, I dont mind caravanning. We used to go caravanning when I was a kid and had some great times Just dont understand why people like camping in a tent, its cold, noisy and uncomfortable nothing good bout that I say pleased I'm not the only one Sarah

Yeah Emma , I agree again lol ... We have a caravan and love it , we tried the whole tent thing first but we woke up one morning to a huge leak and half the tent shredded because of winds :0
we bought the caravan a few months later . It's a good size in a really nice rural/ beach location so we took the dog without worrying about messing up other peoples stuff and lots of nice walks

Absolutely gutted the Boturnell Farm Cottages are all fully booked for the week we have off of work Cant believe it, just proves how popuar the place is. Now I'm back to square 1 again Oh well the search continues any recommendations for the Cornwall area would be brill though
On the other hand do you think I could convince the OH to buy a caravan for us so we dont need to worry about the mess I do remember those days of tenting and waking up to a flooded tent not good caravanning is the way forward I say when camping is ever mentioned
