TINKER - MORNING UPDATE 4/12/12

Well Tinker is in the vets for at least the night undergoing tests, having antibiotics, vitamins and iv fluids. We had another vomiting/collapsing episode. We will know more in a couple of hours when the blood tests are back and then they will decide whether they want to do scans tomorrow...!!! The vet has mentioned pancreatitis, Addison's disease, renal failure, heart failure... NOT A HAPPY BUNNY!!!

4/12/12 - Tinker has had no further vomiting overnight and is off her drip. Trying her with water and gradually introducing diet. If all is well she can come home this evening with antibiotics and antacids to await results of further tests. Fingers crossed!

Routine bloods have come back normal although slightly anaemic. She has had something to stop her being sick and something to protect her stomach lining. She is on a drip and is nil by mouth overnight. If she is not sick in the next 24 hours then she should be able to come home tomorrow night. The specific Pancreatitis blood test will take 2-3 days to come back. Another vet has listened to her heart and can hear nothing wrong so I assume it was the severe vomiting that caused the collapse. We will hear more in the morning. Fingers crossed. Thanks for your support x

Not sure about this. Will ask the vet in the morning. Would that cause the vomiting?

Just looked this up... she has some but not all of the symptons. Will definitely mention it.
