A quick question about cooked chops Empty A quick question about cooked chops

Post by Sar H Sun Dec 02 2012, 20:05

I have just had a rather lovely free-range pork chop for my tea.
Can I give Maddie the cooked bone from the chop? She loves bones from the pet shop...

Thanks Smile

NO!!!!!!!

No cooked bones at all! They splinter & produce extremely sharp points that can pierce the gut!

I know! There was a case fairly recently where a dog was given a cooked bone from Wilkinsons - it splintered & killed the dog before the vets could help him & Wilkinsons couldn't have given two sh*ts about it; they wouldn't even start an investigation into the safety of them. Sad

Well I cut off the remaining meat and fat (the fat is going out for the birds). Maddie had the meat mixed with some mashed sweet potato. There are some very piggy noises coming from the kitchen at the moment Laughing (but no bones Smile )
