Pure Love :)

Does anyone look at their dog and just feel that pure overwhelming love for them or am I just being soppy?
Just got up from the sofa and a sleepy Maggie jumped down too and came over for a bit of a cuddle. When she's all sleepy she's full of the love and I just thought my goodness I love you, I'm so happy your in my life The oh is away at the moment so maybe I'm a little love starved but it jut got me thinking about how happy I am that we have her and how hard I've fallen for this little dog thats only been in our lives for a few months

no im like tht too with jess lol im so soppy and keep cuddling her loads haha... ive only had her over a month too lol..

I always feel like that...when he's sleepy. When he's awake I'm feeling more stressed out than loving but he has his good/comforting/funny moments that I do love. He's done a lot for me, outside of what a dog normally does for people. He's pretty much given me my life back, so course I'm overwhelmed with love for him

I'm so pleased I'm not the only one then, I didn't think I would be on here My work mates always laugh at me when I go on about Maggie (in a good way) I'm constantly showing off pics of her or telling them what she's been upto and they love it when I take her up to visit them on my day off I show Maggie off and talk about her like she's my child
It's funny how much joy they give isn't it? Maggie keeps me company and gets me out and about when I'm not working, it can be lonely when your on your own a lot but with Mags here now its brilliant and I wouldn't have it any other way

I feel like that a lot too, she melts my heart and makes me laugh I love her to bits and could never imagine life without her

yes we feel the same way i know some may think its silly but they are so loving. Its hard not to love them back.

Totally agree with you re the overwhelming love. And it deepens and deepens Just when I think I couldn't love Betsy anymore, something happens to bond us further.

Lately I've been having nightmares and I think Betsy senses this as last night I woke up in the night and she was there snuggled up snoring next to me. She usually sleeps in her crate in the lounge. Staffies are a very special breed and the bond is second to none

I too go on about Betsy to anyone who will listen (or not- ha ha). Some understand, some don't and think I'm obsessed. They are probably right and me and Betsy are both all good with that!

Absolutely. Whoever said don't stare at your dog or into his/her eyes never had a staffy me and Dex sit for ages cuddling and gazing at each other like sops. I love him so much and can only imagine how much I will love him in the years to come if it just keeps growing. We are all lucky owners indeed.

I fell in love with Rocky the first moment i saw him. He was in a rescue centre and just came and stood in front of me and my hubby and the wire fencing and looked at us. That was it, love at first sight. No going back from that point.

Gary has been in my life for 6 weeks now.
I couldnt imagine him not here, he does the cutest things and i just love walking him and fussing him. i can never get far when walking him everybody wants to fuss him but he loves it , he just loves a fuss
I love it in the morning when im in bed and the oh lets him up i pull the covers over me and try and hide but he knows im under the covers and tries to worm his way under. once he gets to me he licks me like mad. he is really affectionate and lovely

Had this conversation with my housemate earlier, he thinks I'm a right sap but I know he loves her just as much really Don't think that I have ever loved anything as much as I love Bis! I sit there all the time going "my god why you are you so bloody beautiful" *smoosh smoosh smoosh* haha and she just wiggles around and has no idea what I'm saying Unconditional love

I love my dogs to bits. Sometimes it just hits me like a huge wave of love hehe and I can't stop smiling!

Despite them comlpetely overtaking my life lol I wouldn't have it any other way!

I agree I look at my rascals and love them. My life is so much richer with them, my son who was savaged by a GSD when he was little and was dog phobic is coping with his fear of dogs and takes them out for a walk so they have helped him overcome this.

My Kenny is my boy, my life , My everything, i allways look at him with love so over whelming, that i could cry, I love the way he looks at me, the way he sleeps even the way he farts

We was like that with Maggie, to be fair we hadn't gone to look at her we went for another dog we had seen but she had already been reserved (lucky for us ) so we was walkin up and down the kennels and Maggie, or Doodle as she was known then (Maggie is a much better name) came up to the kennel and tried to lick my oh hand through the wire There was no barking or anything like the other dogs were so we asked to see her once she was out she ran straight past me (feel the love ) and went straight to my oh and that was it love at first moment We took her out for a walk and every few steps she would stop and give us kisses and cuddles, loved it And we weren't even looking for a staffy she found us and it was the best thing in the world

sometimes, i look at Romeo and i think... wow... there is nothing i love more in this world then you.
