new staffy cross owner, I hope

Hi, I really hope I'm posting in the right place. My situation is a strange one and, unfortunately, requires an explanation. I lost my old lady, a little mongrel, age 17 a few weeks ago and I was feeling very lonely. Coming back to an empty house was, with my partner away on a course, was devastating so my daughter offered me one of her dogs. A young, male staffy/boxer cross. I know next to nothing about either breeds but have to say that he is such a loving and generous dog. A bit of a klutz, very affectionate, and so gentle I have lost my heart to him. He is a beautiful brindle with white feet. A lovable sausage of a dog. I never expected to love another dog so quickly and especially not a staffy cross breed. Dogs I've always been nervous of in the past, but he is absolutely gorgeous and has brought back the sunshine into my life after Belle died. My daughter is quite happy for me to keep him as she found it hard going with the two dogs and I have totally fallen in love with him.

Welcome sorry to hear about your dog dying, but glad you're getting another one to share love with. I've had two Boxers before and Loki is my first Staff. Have to say that both breeds are so loving, loyal and affectionate. Feel free to post pictures when you can too, we love pictures here and don't be afraid to ask for any advice or any questions you might have.
