Lightning Vaccinations.

Post by Psychadelic Fri Jun 22 2012, 10:51

So my little boy is now 3 months and went for his 2nd vaccination and started heartworm prevention. He is such a good pup when taken to the vets. Unfortunately he is now being monitored as he may have had an alergic reaction to the vaccination. Bascially, he has had horrible diahorrea since the needles, so has now been given another needle, an antihistamine which has seemed to improve his mood and belly. Just thought I would share as this is rare but apparently can happen occasionally. thinking

Yes, it is rare but can happen, unfortunately. Have you considered a holistic regime of vaccinations?

If you're interested I can get a link for you to have a look at.

Thanks for posting, I'm sure others would be interested too. It pays to have as much information as possible on things like this just incase someone else has a similar experience.

Here's the one I know of, although there are probably more. Just email them for advice on which one to use...

But if your dog picks up the toxocara worm he could be responsible for blinding a child. Sad

Still wont vaccinate sorry, plus i avoid letting especially Chance near kids. Too many risks of over vaccinating for my liking, even with doing it every 3 years

Ignore me - vaccinations don't get rid of toxocara - I'm talking out of my backside - sorry! I'm soooo embarrassed! Blushing

I must admit I've thought about that.

Thanks for the advice Caryll. After getting the antihistamine shot he was fine... Pretty random and still unsure of what might happen next time. Will do some research Smile
