Hi I'm both new here and to owning a staffy.

Hi all glad to join the group :-) My girlfriend and I recently fostered a young staffy (now called Twigglet or Twiggy on account of his brindle markings) who was rescued from a home where he was kept permanently in a cage. He has a lovely temperament and gets on well with our other 2 dogs ( springer/cocker spaniel mix and a husky/malamute mix ).

Hi welcome, kudos for rescuing the dog, i can tell it has a much happier home! Cages are horrible i really don't like them, people tend to abuse them and use them as a "get the dog out of the way" rather than what they are actually for, which is transporting a dog safely. But thats my opinion.

Is also one of our favourites although the one of mutley in the cat bed is also great but I suppose it is made better by having watched him force himself in there lol, when outside he looked larger than the basket he set his mind on it and so made it. He has a very determined nature - the people we bought him from kept him and his sister in an outdoor pen and he was the cause of many an argument over who had forgot to lock him in until they stayed up one night and watched him as he wedged himself in the corner between wall and fence with paws on wall proceeded walk up the wall until he could back-flip over the fence to get into the garden! Between him n the spaniel we have some serious hight containment issues add in the staffy ability to chew through just about anything and our garden resembles fort-knox lol
