) .. with spring almost here, and wakeing to the occasional bird song again, my OH said she wanted a bird box she could see from the kitchen window (summut to look at while she's chained to the kitchen sink Laughing

) .. so I made her one at work the other day Laughing

, waited till she went out, fixed it to a tree in the garden, and waited to see how long it would be till she noticed it Wink

.....

My day off too, just been out in woods with Vinnie. Met some workmen on the way back of which one was Polish (I think!!). Who in a sort of Arnold Schwarzeniger voice said "I hope He doesnt eat me"!! needless to say I did mumble a few choice words as I walked a way!! >:/

Well, we have 2 days off. We're meeting Meg (russdogmum) and Russ tomorrow and on Saturday I am going to walk into town and maybe back... sounds easy but it's over 15km (about 9.5 miles) and its going to get to 36 degrees here that day. Maybe the fat will melt of me Tongues

when i was a welder i used to make allsorts of stuff, like fishing trolleys, garden tools etc. but now i prefer to get making beer and wine drooling

That is a really nice birdhouse. We have a bird sanctuary out the kitchen and we love it! I'm at work and with my office softened hands, not much I can make here but more paper for my staff to file! Laughing

I really orta make an effort to start drawing agian ... I used to do caracatures back in the day for people at my local Laughing

Think I have heard somewhere they have to be facing in certain direction. Dont know which weather its north, south, east, or west but apparently it does make a difference!! Just a bit of useless information !! Laughing

, I made the basic box outa stuff I had in the workshop (which happened to be 1 inch thick board!!! Surprised

) then put a couple of logs through the band saw to make the natural cladding/pirch Smile

... they'll be safe and sound in there thats for sure Big Grin
