Found the chicken. Just where I said it would be. I TOLD my dad DO NOT LET THE DOG OUT.

So of course he ignores me and let's the dog out.

Errrr, wish we could give a list to our dogs as to what is not acceptable and what is. It's hard to deal with that. So sorry for your loss.

I too apologize for snapping, i was just upset.

I don't blame the dog at all, she didn't physically kill her i think the chook had a heartattack from the fear cause she was alive when Lexi was told to leave which she did immediately. Its my dads fault for letting her into the pen i told him not to because i knew the chicken had to be in there somewhere in the trees. I had intended to muzzle her and let her in on a lead to "flush" her out but men and their ignorance right.

oh so sorry about your chook..
we have 5 , and though Winston has been introduced to them when we first got him at 6 weeks, every now and then he forgets himself and chases after them..he got hold of one and pulled some feathers out....the temptation was just too great. I was worried the shock might kill her but she is still going strong..but a little bald around her neck.

Hayley, you should ask to Dad to replace the lost chicken, as he is such a loving Dad and very sorry about what happend.
