Horrible pet shop

Went to a pet shop called Fur, Feathers and Fins thinking it was a hunting shop (to buy a coat for my dad who goes clay pigeon shooting) but it was a pet shop. Might as well have been a hunting shop though, the animals looked dead (3 chinchillas, budgies, finches and the most pathetic looking conure i have ever saw)you couldnt even see the fish and it smelled like a parvo stricken dogs *. Never seen pet shop animals in such filth! I made a point of walking around the stalls saying this rather loudly but the 16yo shop keeper just scuttled away into the office and left the shop unattended! I wasn't surprised that i was the only customer there.

I don't know who to? The SPCA don't do anything and i never get through anyway. Is there a regulatory body that takes care of pet shops?

As far as i know all pet shops have to have a pet shop licence that is issued via their local council get in contact with them about your concerns and they will investigate.

Really needs to be investigated. Hope you find someone to report it to.

You need to report them to the council, as they give out the licenses

Go to your CAB they will advise you what to do.

Horrible people! Hope they get put out of business and the animals are rescued. I feel so bad for those animals.

That's shocking I agree they need to be reported. They should be inspected frequently to hold a licence, if they had a licence they wouldn't be in that much of a state!
