What does that kennel cough sound like.My old boy has had a weird cough now for a while.We took him to the vet and they said his chest was clear and that he had a grade 2 heart murmur that was causing him to cough,The problem we have is that he carnt have heart medicine on the top of his skin allergy steriod jab So we are having to let him have the allergy jab else he would be bitting himself like crazy especially is paws

kennel cough sounds like they're trying to clear their throat all the time - a sort of dry, hacking cough. It's different to a heart murmur cough, though. With a heart murmur they get a slight build up of fluid in the lungs & they cough to get rid of it.
