Joes ears
Hey guys,
I have a question:
I know that Joe's ears are not perfect. They are very big and heavy and so they hang down. If he is very interested in something they come up a little bit.
So last dogshow in Austria he won in the youth class. I'm very proud and happy, but I know that most of the people couldn't understand this.
He is a great dog, nice and friendly to everybody and everything, looks great - the only negative thing are his ears.
So what do you mean... I want him as stud dog (I don't know if there will ever be a female for him) - is this ok or shouldn't he ever make babies?
Do you know if it's a genetical fault?
Hope to get good information.
Greetings,
Julia

Re: Joes ears
I don't show or breed so I'm not too familiar with the standards. I think for ears that aren't cropped they are supposed to be even. He looks great to me. When I was looking for a pup all that I cared about was that both parents were health tested and free from defects.

Re: Joes ears
Thank you.
Joe won, because of his body and his character. He ran nice and relaxed beside me, stood good and was very friendly to the judge. Other boys jumped or lay down. Joe always was mindful.
Maybe we want a litter from Joe and Brownie. Brownie has perfect ears.
But we don't know exactly. At first she should grow and be older
