thanks, he met the rest of the family today, the other two labs, buddy(male) and nala(female) barked at them when still being far away but was scared when he sat next to them, seems as if though the labs like him, he is just still a bit scared of them, but sure that he will warm up to them soon

Re: Rusty, 6 weeks, playing tug of war
He probabilly is terrified he hasn't had the proper upbringing, he hasn't been socialised well enough, he was not given time to developed mentally and physically to be away from his mother and siblins who would teach him how to act around other dogs upto a point.
I'm sure you are now doing a good job but he is simply too young to be away from his mother and siblins and i find it disgusting that a breeder (obviousely not a professional one) would let a pup go so young, there simply are no excuses.
It is also concerning that someone who loves dogs would take/buy one of such a young age not knowing/researching all the problems that can accure because of these situations.
Just my opinion.
He's very cute by the way.

@MissRogue, your concerns and opinion has been duly noted. Rusty might be young but i fear your concerns and opinion might be directed in or reflected in the wrong manner, i do not for see any problems as things are now and/or later with rusty, he is playfull and well looked after, their is always someone with him at any given time of the day, well loved and looked after. he has already stolen our harts and if you think we have not done any research to the matter, then how do you think we came to this site? i have read that the earliest a puppy can be taken away from it's mother is six weeks and as such insisted that the owners of the mother keep him till that age, he also only received his shots a day after i received him for the fist time. the town they lived in before he came to us is full of cat flu....
