Rusty meets the labs and first week with us

odly, he is more affraid of the male (buddy) then of the Female (Nala) but it is the Buddy who wants to play with him and the female who just wants to stay clear of rusty..... but it worked out better then expected and it seems that they will all become good friends

Thats great news, how small is Rusty in comparison ?!?!

Rusty is about as big as buddy's mouth at this stage..... but the labs are carefull not to step on rusty, glad about that atleast...

looks like the first meeting went well, they look quite relaxed with him he looks soo tiny next to them hehe

I find that labs in general are quite good with puppies although they take no nonsense. Tyson seems to know which labs to play with at the park and which ones dont like playing.

We do not have any dog parks were we live, but our yard is uge with the mountains just behind our house, we are unable to take the labs for walks as buddy the male, hates going outside the yard, but we will teach Rusty to be able to go for walks, even if just to the gym which is about 1km from our house.... lol, may even give me an excuse to go jogging, other then just to push weights around, lol

thanks, he is tiny compared to them at this stage, but i am sure he will have more then enough energie to keep both of the labs fit as well

You are so lucky to be surrounded by wide open spaces. I suspect however that, in time, you may have to consider more than 1 km walks with little Rusty to save your sanity.

Little staffie boys tend to use up any unspent energy at the end of each day bouncing off your wall and furniture and tearing up the place in general. During these 'walks' you will more than likely get a solid upper body work out too

jip, but the BIG treat with rusty is, just around the corner from our house (practically our back yard) is the soutpansburg mountain, which i am sure he would love to explore then and i am sure he will make sure that i take him there for his major walks

also lucky for him we have a big yard and with the jack russal and two labs out side, i am also sure he will have enough friends to bring that energie level down abit, atleast i hope so
