Greetings from the Shire!
That's Aberdeenshire!!!! Hola from me, Louise, and Buddy, my 13 month(ish) boy!!
He's a resuce dog that I got about 5 weeks ago from a friedn of a friend, who did the good thing of taking the dog in form the shelter, but then proceeded to basically neglect him. So now i have him!
When hes good, hes very good! But we are also expreiencing every "puppy problem" under the sun! (Mind you, toileting seems to be under control now after a few accidents!) Think this may be due to neglect and no schooling when he was younger. Still behaving like a young puppy, which he cant reallly because hes quite a big boy!
My main concern is the nipping at the moment, gets that bit too over excited and carried away. Hopefully he'll clam down some after hes had his wee "procedure" a week on Tuesday, which should also help with the humping!
From snooping around the forum, everyone seems lovely and helpful, and you also all seem to agree on the majority of things, which is good when asking for advice!!lol.
So, I'm away to continue to snoop and start posting! And try to not make a nusiance of myslef!
Ooh, pics will follow, once i figure out where itunes puts them once you've synced them off you phone. Any ideas?
x

Re: Greetings from the Shire!
Hi there and Welcome from Me and RoXy.
Great job on giving Buddy a loving, caring home he deserves. Hopefully with some consistence on your part and basic training and attention he will begin to settle. Oh,and daily walks too will help to calm him.
Looking forward to seeing pics once you sort things out on the photo front ( sorry, can't help there.....i'm a "bit" of a computer dummy. I know what I "need" to know and that's about it...although I do surprise myself sometimes )
Continue to "snoop" or "browse" and if you have any questions, don't be shy. We are a friendly bunch
Start with basic training and things should slowly improve.
Good luck

Re: Greetings from the Shire!
Hi Louise and Buddy. Start with the basic, you will need a bit of patience and a tad of perseverance but stick with it. Keep to the same command and try to make sure everyone else in contact with him does too.
As for the itunes pictures:
Open itunes / edit / preferences / advanced
It will say itunes media folder location, which shows the path to where the files are stored.
Hope this helps. Good luck. Welcome from me and Rocky

He is getting better, and is starting to realise that I'm the boss, not him! I know it will all come together!

Re: Greetings from the Shire!
When he nips turn around and ignore him or move him into a seperate room for a few minutes. He's trying to get your attention and should pick up on the idea quickly espically if everyone in the household does the same, although some don't.
