Year old Staffy will not sleep tonight

My Year old will not sleep or cant turn him self off tonight was fine up till 4am ish then its play time its okay as its the weekend but just hope its a one off any other dogs doing this?

my old staffy Jethro went through a phase a few months ago where he was waking up at 3am and pacing around, meanwhile waking us all up. but thankfully he now sleeps right through again..phew!!

Is your staffy getting lots of exercise??..a tired dog is a happy dog..

could try some rescue remedy drops in his food or water later in the day , that might calm him abit.

I am sure other people will have some suggestions.

Can you playfight with him for a bit? Knacker him out? Play tug?

When I need kip I wear Paddy out playing

Thats what my oh does with milly plays tug with her just before bed time she sleeps all nite after tug time.We can hear her most nites snoring

A good play or a walk before bedtime. We give Rocky these at night if he is unsettled.

We don't have that problem with Tinkerbell. She gets a good hour and a half walk at 6.30pm while the oh puts the kids to bed. She is done for the night then, snores on us until we go to bed then spends the night in her bed snoring until half 6 when the kids wake her!

Might be he needs to release some energy. If he is getting at least two 45 minute walks during the day a god game of tug before bed should tire him out. That being said there are nights where they will have a little extra in the tank > but not too often.
