dog toys
I have been looking around the pet shop's by where I live you know Pet at Home and places like that and the toys there all seem to be a bit soft and the kind of toys Billy would chew to bits in seconds. Does anyone know of any where I can buy the really hard toys, balls, bones and stuff that he wont break into bits as soon as he gets them? Surley there must be someone specialising in tough toys for dogs.

Re: dog toys
Hi, there is a brand of toy called "petstages" does a range of very industrutable toys, we have Frisbee, chew bone ect, I got them from pets at home but if yours doesn't stock it google it and try online. She wouldn't be without the frisbee and we've had it months!! Yes stuffed toys last all of 30secs until the stuffing is all over the floor!!

Re: dog toys
petstages, ok thanks for the info, will have to ask in pets at home tonight. Billy loves chasing things and when I throw him a stick he just keeps going for ever. The thing with a ball though is it will bounce and go further, more fun for Billy I think than just throwing a stick lol. Frisbee sounds like a good idea two. He loves jumping up to try and catch things so Ill have a look tonight, thanks.

Re: dog toys
If they haven't heard of it, when I get home I'll find the specific name as I always buy a spare, and thats not because she breaks them (they really are durable that I will promise!!) but because I end up loosing them!! She wouldn't be without it!!

dog toys
We got our dog a Boomer ball, it's a large plastic ball. it's brilliant. cost around £9-£10
got it on-line E'bay I think.
It's the only toy she hasn't eaten so far and believe me she's eaten everything we've got her including the kong toy, which she's still working on. we let her play with it untill she starts chewing it then use another toy to distract her before removing it for a while.
It's a bit of a nightmare trying to find toys for them that they can't destroy in 2 minutes and costly too.
try on-line shops we just ordered a couple of the dumbell toys they are much cheaper than the vets or pets shops.
good luck hope you find something

Re: dog toys
Just found a new toy yesterday, get an empty drinking bottle, cut a couple of holes in it just big enough to get a treat out of and put treats inside! Hey presto it had her entertained for ages and if they chew it it doesn't matter because it costs nothing!!
