Welcome back
Yes, we had a great holiday, thanks. It's easy to take them to Poland - problems starts when you want to come back to England. Microchips, rabbies vacinnations, passports, etc. If you want more details let me know.
That was the second time we went to Poland.

We drive and it takes 1.5 day to get there (including some stops)

Re: Holiday (lots of pics)
Do they have to go into some sort of quarintine (sp)? Or is it there and straight back? Sorry all the questions but I would love to get out of England with her in the future Thanks in advance! Xx

Ok then. You need microchip first, then rabbbies vacinnation, then a blood test. If the blood test is ok vet will give you a passport, then you have to wait 6 months before you can go anywhere.
Vaccination is valid for 3 years but some countries required to do them every year.
Between 24 to 48 hours before you enter UK the animal must be treated for ticks and tapeworm (echinococcosis). This treatment must be carried out by an authorised vet.
Good news are that from 1st of January 2012 waiting time going to be change from 6 months to 21 days from vaccination, blood test is not going to be required and you dont need to treat your dog for ticks (tapeworm is still required)
Hope thats clear for you

Re: Holiday (lots of pics)
I'm guessing all the initial jabs are done at your vets? How do you find the authorised vet out of England, or are you set up with them? Thanks again Never taken her abroad, just want to know how easy it is Xx

Its not that you have to find a special vet for that - you just need a normal vet (not a person that thinks he is a vet ) and its very easy to find.
Btw once you have a passport all the rest is a piece of cake
We did our passports 2 years ago.
List of countries where you can go with them passports should be on DEFRA site.
Collars on ebay SPORTING DOG SUPPLIES
Regards
Ps. If anyone have more questions you need to wait untill tommorow for an answer because i need go to work
