I cannot wait for Saxon's new collar to come in!! One more week, just seems too long!

What's a QB...? Something to do with the bowler...? I really have no idea.
My stepson played baseball when Trevor & I met, but he wasn't that keen on it as it was the only sport he was allowed to play at the time (he was 14).
He'd played soccer when he was younger but had a growth type illness to one of his hips at the age of 11 and would be hospitalised if he caused it too much strain (he did this at 11 years of age a few times), so they suggested baseball.
I watched them playing and to me unless he was standing as far out field as you can get and never batted, I don't know how he was supposed to not get any strain. How do you play any sport without giving it all you have is beyond me

Hollie will be 4 in a couple of weeks and Harrison has just turned 2.
Caryll wrote:Scubasteve wrote:Why did I agree to have children??????
It's one of those days here AGAIN, the children have been up with Ian since 5 whilst I slept in and they have been so naughty ever since the moment they woke up! It's going to be a long day
I really don't miss those days! My daughter nowadays gets herself up about 8am weekends and does her own thing. My son stays up till about 4am at weekends to watch the baseball live on tv, so he doesn't get up till about 1pm!
PEACE!!
I can't wait for those days when they lie in until midday. Harrison has been getting up at 5am recently and I have no idea why! Although I have to say he slept in until 6am this morning and Ian got up with him. Harrison is a dadi's boy and cried when Ian went down to the toilet, so he had no choice but to come back and get up to get up with him He woke Hollie with his crying so she came in with me, but I told her to go back to sleep and she did until 8am. Obviously I had no option but to stay up in bed with her to make sure she didn't fall out, because our bed is quite high

Re: The Random Thread
Not sure I thought that at the time and I didn't even get a chance to get my camera out of my pocket. Grrhhhhhhh!!!
I was getting ready to run in after her (clothes and all) when she turned around and headed back to the shore. Little brat!!!!
Now I can find the humour in it there really was a lot of splashing going on

Swimming is such fab exersize for them, I remember when my first went in and she sunk, needless to say in a split second I nearly dived in only for her little head to pop and for her to scrabble onto land, she never swum again, but Moo is a right little swimmer she just can't get enough. Its a shame though because the winter is too cold to swim

Re: The Random Thread
Kita learned to swim in a damn when her & I lived in Queensland, when we bought our house in Townsville we had a permanent creek running at the back of our property and it was the best thing for her and our BM to exercise (as well as running up and down the back yard as we were on 2 and a 1/4 acres).
I always used to say I hated the house but could have picked up my block and taken it with me wherever I went. Could do with it right now come to think of it

Re: The Random Thread
the title is:
'A Clockwork Orange’ – the story with the two fathers.
Anthony Burgess’s and Stanley Kubrick’s different approaches to the same story – analysis of the relationship between the authors and their interpretations of ‘A Clockwork Orange’.
I really like both the book and the film, but atm after few hours of writing I just want to forget about it
