Has anyone tries this with their Staffy?

I have tried on a couple of occasions to run with Ledger mostly he seems to love it but now and then he will turn and try to pull the lead off me. Well since I got him 6 weeks ago walks have taken over from my running and it has hit home that I have a half marathon in a few weeks and am very unprepared

Well today we went out and managed a 13 mile walk (bless I thought it would wear him out but he has still pestered to go for a spin around the park tonight) but I also feel a bit guilty as he pretty much stays on lead so hasn't been getting to stretch his legs so I did a bit of a search when I got hame and found this lot.....

I've gone and ordered a hands free belt/leash so will feed back on how effective it is sometime next week

I would love to start back running but haven't had the opportunity since having the children. We got Tinkerbell 4 weeks ago, and I was only thinking today whilst walking that I would love to take her running. I couldn't use something like that though as she is over friendly with people and dogs and would pull me over getting to them! Will be interested to hear how you get on though!

Good luck with your half marathon, rather you than me! Mines always off lead, I think she'd drag me over if she saw a squirrel wearing that. All the best with the training, whats it for or is it a dog thing? Xx

Training is for the Cardiff half in October which was booked about 6 months ago I've just been very lax since Ledger entered my life tho he does get walked 4-6 miles a day I just get back and collapse on the sofa with him instead of heading to the gym

I also need to get seriously fit as got a skydiving hol to Nicaragua in March and need the beach body to go with it

Suki loves to run but on her terms. We'll be going along good and she will decide to stop for a sniff of something Laughing

I definately plan on doing somebackpacking with her. I've got the pack already and since she a year old now I'm going to start getting her used to it. I won't start adding any weight for 6 months though so she can have time to mature some more.
