Re: Worming
My vet recommends monthly from 8 weeks until 6 months & then every 3 months. So that's what I do!

Re: Worming
The trouble with panacur is (I think) that some types are only for roundworms - I could well be wrong here. Check carefully to see that it covers everything you need.
I use the ones from my vets cause they cover roundworms, tapeworms, hookworms & help prevent infection by lungworm (very important if your dog is anywhere near slugs/snails). Dempsey, at 31 kilos needs 2 worming tablets at £5 each.

Re: Worming
Can we just pop in to vet and purchase these tablets over counter caryll or do we have to see the vet. our vet charge 26 pounds just for a consulation. We can weigh the dogs at home and take in the weights of them with us.So that they get the right dose per dog

All vets should have a weighing machine in the waiting room (or one you can use whenever you want) and I just weigh Dempsey & then ask for the wormers at the reception.

I honestly can't remember! I use the vet's ones cause at least then I know that they cover everything I want. I don't trust myself to get it right just by reading the box! If you tell the receptionist that you want them to cover roundworm/tapeworm/lungworm, then they'll give you the right one. It's possible that you could get them cheaper on line, but I can't be bothered with the fuss!
