Witnessed Something Heartbreaking

I was outside a few minutes ago, coming back from a nice early morning walk. I crossed the road, and as soon as I got to the other side I heard a loud thud, sounding like 2 cars had crashed. I turned around and saw this poor little Beagle laying on the road on it's side... The car beside it had the window open and the people in it were crying. I assumed it was theirs and it had gotten out of the window accidentally. A man got out of the car and picked up the dog, and I also saw the people who had accidentally hit the dog get out of the car and go to see the Beagle. There was a huge crowd and the Beagle in the man's hands barely had it's eyes open, the poor thing, and it's paw looked like it was bent It was whining, barely sounding as loud as a whisper and the man got in his car with his (I`m assuming it was his) Beagle and I`m pretty sure either taking it to the vet or the Animal Refuge.

I was on the verge of crying, the poor puppy seemed like it was hanging on for it`s life

I`m hoping it will be OK

Oh no.......how sad.

I hope the poor Beagle pulls through the ordeal. It's always so hard when an animal is struck by a car.....can cause all sorts of injuries.

oooow poor lil pup i would have been crying, sounds so awful. lets hope the lil guy makes it

How terrible. I hope that the sweet pup is ok. My dad's cocker was hit by a car a few years back. They thought she wasn't going to make it, but she did. Now she is back to her old self. I hope the same happens for the Beagle.
