Agree! .. a staff can be crossed with a dog and it not always been a pit Labrador's, boxers etc etc people just say pit because its first thing that jumps into an uneducated mind .. he is a gorgeous dog!

I do believe he is a cross a very handsome cross though.

Re: my staffy up date on pictures
He does look a little Pit Bull-ish, but as others said any Stafford cross can come out looking like a Pit Bull. Whatever he is, he is absolutely gorgeous! I would love to see more pictures!

An to be honest he is right, if they really wanted to do damage to each other one of them would have come away with some sort of wound atleast.
But just going walking on lead with other dogs and controlled meetings with other dogs could help alot. Sounds like he is not been educated on how to socialize in a good manner with other dogs so does what he knows. Whats starts a playful with dogs can get out of hand very quick but sometimes it is also simpley playing rough as Staffs do play quite rough anyway.
You will need to set limits of how rough they are allowed to play and intervene when they are at the limit you want. Let them settle for a min and let them play again.
Other training will help alot if you have a good leave command, stop, back, sit, down, ect it gives you more control of your dog and you gain alot of respect from your dog aswell. Give them praise for playing nice and assign it a command so he learns to play nice.

Re: my staffy up date on pictures
its a shame but not all dogs can be dog friendly .. its good to see you are willing to muzzle him on walks, shows good dog ownership!.
My pervious rescue was very dog aggressive!, the only time he would give a dog a chance was if it was a puppy or an old female, other than that he would go mental .. so to ensure the safety of him and others on walks he was always on a short lead and harness aswell as on a muzzle, he started to realise he couldnt do anything when a dog came close so started ignoring them on walks!, and at the park we would take him deep in and then put him on a long lead so he could have a good sniff and run around .. its just knowing your dog and what ways suits them best.
As said above training is a great help!, especially the leave command

He looks like a staff cross I think people have only been saying that because of his unusual colouring, he is 'liver coloured' which in america pitbull breeders call 'red-nosed'. I highly doubt he has any pitbull in him though
