is this weeks menu ok for a 20 week old staff
Monday - 1/2 egg including shell mixed with kibble
tuesday - 1/2 tin of sardines mixed with kibble
wednesday - natural yogurt and kibble
thursday - some mince ( either chicken/ beef/ lamb ) with a little kibble
friday - 1/2 eg including shell mixed in with kibble
saturday - 1/2 tin sardines
sunday - fresh chicken and yogurt with some kibble
all the above will be fed once a day but she will also be having her usual kibble a further 2 times during the day aswell.
also the kibble im using is csj little champ.
i have been feeding her on the menu for last 4 weeks and tbh she seems to be doing fine on it, her coat is beutifully shiny, no sickness or diarehha no smelly gas ( well a few goodens but not many lol )and she drinks plenty of fluid.and she seems to be growing at the right pace according to the vet
also as a treat we give her some fruit i.e apple, banana, peach once or twice a week.
mat
as i said she does seem fine but just wanted to check that im not giving her to much rich food

well as i say she seems to be but ive not had a staff before to compare with.
i did mention it to the vet but they said to just put her on the kibble they sell but that just seems abit boring and i like to give her a nice variety.
will keep her on it and just monitor as i have been doing
thanks for help

Is the mince raw, or do you cook it?
If it's raw, I wouldn't mix it with kibble because the digestion time is very different, and you could upset her digestive 'rythm'. Raw food is digested in about 4-5 hours; kibble is digested in about 17 hours!

I swapped Moo to dry kibble (for a reason), and yes it has all the vitamins needed, so things like mince, egg and fish should really be a treat. But Moo hasn't eaten properly for the past 2 weeks so I have added tuna, and gravy to encourage her to eat. She is a happy girl but seemed to get bored of her kibble.
I know a lot on here feed raw which sounds great and very varied, but if it suits her then thats the main thing Xx

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! If your dog does well on what you give it, then it must be doing it good!

Menu is okay I would agree with Caryll though dont feed raw and kibble together. The Little Champ food isn't one of the worse ones but you would do better. Fish4Dogs, Orijen and James Well Beloved are my favourite kibbles I would personally swap onto one of those.

Like caryll said if the mince, meat etc is raw then it's best not to feed in the same meal as kibble, or mixer biscuit due to the difference in time for digestion!
