Got my purse nicked

got my purse knicked last night from my bag. i am always so areful, but last night the boss bought me a gigantic bunch of flowers for working late, they were nearly as tall as me, so when i was going home on the tube in the crush hour, i slung my bag on my back instead of keeping it in front of me which is what i always do.

£1000 taken out in cash from my credit card so far, bas**rds

hopefully i will get it back, its just all the stuff in my purse that i have lost
as it was full, not much cash though only about £3.00

done that and they tried to sell me an insurance policy against theft

That's one of the reasons I left working for Nat West, they wanted me to be a sales person & that wasn't what I signed up for!

How did they get money from your credit card? You didn't leave your pin in there did you?

Have the card comppanies said anything about the pin being used?

yes they asked if my pin was in there I said no, so they think someone was watching me, but who knows what wil happen

Quick thinking, well done!!

I don't know alot about your credit agencies but it might be a good idea to put in a fraud alert with the credit agencies as well. In the US this prevents people from opening new accounts in your name and they have to call you to verify. I actuually keep identity theft insurance for this reason. It's been along time since I was robbed but with so much personal information out there and available these days I think it is a good idea.

awww that terrible lynne im lucky dont have a credit card and jac in the bank but its not just the money its the personal items in your purse which are important lets hope they get cought on cambra and brought to task

got some money from my OH gonna get a bottle of wine for tonight, that will go down quite quick i think

The pin usually comes about 2 days after the card. You'd be able to use the card in the issuing bank, but not in an ATM or shop till you get the pin. That's what happened when I had fraudulent activity on my account & they had to cancel my card (even though I still had it, the bank said someone had 'skimmed' the details!).
