A question about exterior walls Empty A question about exterior walls

Post by Louise C Sun Jul 17 2011, 12:43

Hi there

hopefully some clever person here will be able to help me.

How do I determine which is my south facing wall.

It's for a solar bell box (alarm) and it's needs to be fitted on a south facing wall.

Thanks in advance.

Unless you have all day to watch the sun rise and set then a compass is best you can get a compass app on your smart phone if that helps

I was going to come out with such an extravigant answer that the sun rises in the east and that it sets in the west, so the south side will have the sun all day and the north side won't, and than read the other answers and yes a compass does sound far easier Smile
