toilet question again
billy has been house trained now for ages, he is 9 months old. he sleeps in the living room on his bed and we close the door so he cant jump on our beds - he snores too loud.
last week when my OH got up he had done a poo near the door, he did not say anything just cleaned it up, billy was beside himself he seemed realy embarressed, well today my OH got up and he had done a tiny wee near the door, again he did not say anything and billy again was really upset that he had done it. he does get a walk just before he goes to bed.
i just wondered what had happened and do you think this could be come a regular thing, did we handle it correct by not saying anything to billy, or is it just a one off
sorry for the long post

Re: toilet question again
I don't know Lynne, maybe he is having a little episode, you could try back to basics with him if it persists, or he could just be testing your patience! Sorry not much help really Xx

Re: toilet question again
If there has been no change to the routine perhaps it is teenage rebellion? If it were just a wee I would say maybe an urinariry tract infection but since it is poo too he might be a little ill?

Re: toilet question again
The fact that both accidents were near the door would sugest that he was trying to get out.
I would have done exactly the same as you. Lots of pups have little accidents even when they appear to be fully housetrained. As long as it doesn't become a regular thing I wouldn't worry, other than perhaps restricting his water before bed time, or giving his meal a little later so he doesn't need to go till later.
