Next breed on UK hit list…
Was reading an article this week which predicts the next breed to be banned from the UK, along with Pitbulls and Tosa and the such, is the Belgian Shepherd.
I’ve seen many of these dogs in action, including in canine club.
They are very smart, very quick, and working dogs which need to be occupied and given a job to do.
Article was saying that after certain cinema films, this breed had become a fashion and many families couldn’t cope with their dog. With big litters, pups were being sold cheap so accessible.
It’s not for nothing that this is a breed widely used by the police/customs/armed forces.

Re: Next breed on UK hit list…
Not going to happen.
I know there are concerns, but there were concerns about...
GSDs
Dobermans
Rottweilers
Akita's
etc, etc.
Just the press doing their usual thing. Sensationalism.
Yes, the Malinois is a specialist dog - all of them are 'working line' - but they're a recognised breed that has been in the UK (and worldwide) for decades. You could say similar about the Border Collie! Once the idiots have had their fill it will die down.
The Malinois is a great working dog, whether for sport (IPO, working trials, Mondioring etc, police/security/protection etc) or show. If they ban the breed what happens to the hundreds of police dogs etc?
