Lazy eye - strabismus
I’m noticing quite a few staffy pups in ads with varying degrees of light lazy eye.
The breed does not have a reputation of this disorder (like pugs, for example).
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of this, especially in puppies?
I recently saw a photo of Nifty’s sister and she kept her slight eye misalignment to adulthood

Re: Lazy eye - strabismus
I've never known it to be a 'problem' in staffords - I hope it isn't going to become one!
It's not one of those things that can be 'cured' but isn't normally detrimental to health, although some conditions can cause it & must be treated (brain tumour, I think?).
It's quite a problem in brachycephalic breeds, and as Staffords now are included as brachycephalic, maybe the shorter muzzles are involved in causation?

Oh no, I didn’t realize that Staffords were included as brachycephalic
I have seen a stud which has the same head profile as a french bulldog with staffy ears …

And it used to be such an 'unspoilt' breed.
Your two have nice length muzzles, though!
