My Staffy isolating himself Empty My Staffy isolating himself

Post by Darcy12 Wed May 04 2022, 08:16

Hi I need advice with my 10year old Staffy. He's starting to isolate himself from me. I would sit and watch TV with him normally but now he retreats to the bedroom all the time and looks really unhappy with me, I can't work out what the issue is. Some forums have said it's called "Dening".
Any help?

Hi & welcome to the forum.

What's he like the rest of the time?

I wonder if he has an ear problem that is affected by the sound of the tv?

Hello and welcome.

At that age I doubt that he's 'denning'. I would say that there's something about the tv that he's uncomfortable with.

Or maybe he's getting more tired due to his age & can't sleep with the tv on?
