Milly is not the most social of dogs she will let them have a sniff but thats enough for her she wants to play with her ball. Me and Connor took her out yesterday and she was playing with her ball and there were 2 other staffs on the park the first came over had a sniff and went Milly carried on playing then the bigger one came over and was growling so connor just picked Milly up so there was no issue. The staff then really started growling Milly must have thought he/she was doing it at connor and really lost it the other owner was not botherd tho did not even come over at first untill I shouted him. it really shocked us as we have never seen her react like that before we just put her lead on and brought her home untill later, not sure if we did the right thing but I did not want any trouble.

Your Connor must be strong to pick her up, she's huge now!! Another nochalant owner, makes me so mad. You totally did the right thing but why should you have to go home and stop your fun because of someone elses dog! Xx

She was definitely protecting Connor. Had she been on the ground, she may not have bothered too much. On the other hand, she may have acted exactly the same on the ground, because she'd be protecting you both anyway!

I'd have carried on with the walk, but then I'm pretty used to things like that happening, so it wouldn't have bothered me much. Had it been my daughter, though, she'd have gone straight home.

I was just scared Caryll if we put her down that the dog would have gone for her because the owner did not come and put him on the lead

I know how you fell. It's a dilemma nobody should have to face.

Why can't people just let you get on with your walk in peace? She/he must have known what their dog was like, so they should have kept it away.

People!

True if Milly was like that I would make sure we were alone before I took her of the lead

I'm afraid you just can't prepare for people like that, you never know what they're gonna do!

I suppose that's someone you'll have to keep an eye out for in the future.

We have to be careful up the field we take ours cuz an old man was telling us while my two were playing with his dog that a man owns a husky locally and let's him off the lead on the field but his dog aggressive!!! Surprised its been for his dog 3x and the owner don't do anything!

Its such a shame some people have no regard for anyone else I dont have a problem with dogs of lead as long as the owners can control them obviously not this one Sad
