Things that make my blood boil
This is one of them
I am not a violent person but that would quickly change if I was put in a room alone with this guy.
The justice he received was laughable so I can only hope Karma catches up with him later in life.

Re: Things that make my blood boil
I'd cut off more than his ears!!!! Why anyone would want a dog that has been mutilated is beyond me! I see them on my fb groups & I usually love every dog/pup on there but cannot bring myself to respond to anyone that has a dog that has had its ears cropped It's one of my favourite things with Katy to stroke her silky ears

Oh yes, I love staffy silky ears too.
That whole story is more than sick ... from the mutilation in conditions I’d rather not know details, to the ignorant people with much more money than good sense that buy these poor pups, encouraging this “individual” to continue.
A couple of years ago at puppy classes, one woman came with a doberman which had cropped ears and tail (even though completely forbidden here too ). The ears were so well done that one still managed to flop over.

I just don't understand why people think it looks good. It isn't normally done to look fierce, it's done to look 'smart'. What's smart about mutilation?

No idea
But I think I heard that in the dog fighting ring, they crop the ears as that’s often the first part that dogs will go for. So by cropping ears, they avoid messy injuries to heal on winning dogs ...

Strangely, in the UK, when I've seen pics of rescued fighting dogs they have had intact ears.
So kind of them, though, to remove the sensitive ear parts in case they get torn. Doesn't matter about everywhere else on their bodies, I suppose.
