Puppy that loves people too much
So Luna is 6months in a few days so she’s starting to understand most of the do’s and dont’s but I just can’t get her to calm down when she sees a person. No one can come into our house without getting peed on with excitement but that’s one thing, what’s worse and drives me a bit insane is walking her. She loves her walks her the second she sees a person she goes crazy wagging her tail and jumping up and trying to get to them to the stage where I have to just crouch down and hold her until they walk out of her sight as she won’t walk until they’re gone. Pulling her, offering a treat or anything like that doesn’t work once she sees a person all she wants is them. She’s just super friendly and if the person walking past gives her a pet or attention of some sort she will be okay and keep walking but if they just walk past her she won’t accept that how can I get her to stop as trying to distract her or anything like that isn’t working and we’ve had her for over 3 months now she should start understand this a bit more as she’s very understanding with anything else you tell her

There's no such thing as too friendly!
Having said that, I know it's frustrating when she wants to meet & greet EVERYONE!
Bear in mind she's still a puppy & will be for a year or so yet. She WILL calm down, but it may not happen until maturity.
You could try using the interaction as a training opportunity - get her to sit & wait, ask the person not to make a fuss (or make eye contact) until she's calm, and if she goes OTT turn her in a circle & start again.

Re: Puppy that loves people too much
I sort of know what you mean. On walks, Nifty will stop and even sits whilst waiting for people to pass and say hello. Opium will jump on anyone with excitement.
What really helped us was canine school attendance, not only for the “lessons” but for the environment full of other people and their dogs
Opium, who overexcites for anything, must sit before she gets petted.
Have you tried distracting Luna with a squeaky toy to get her attention back ? As for the treat, make sure it’s a very high value (so something special that she loves but only gets in very particular situations) and reward her at first, when you get her attention back, even just briefly. Then you work on getting her to calm down and wait.
She is very young too so you won’t have an overnight solution but you can improve the situation every time

Re: Puppy that loves people too much
She’s just a very cheeky pup, she understands what u say to her like to get off the couch but she’ll stay on it to test u barking until u stand up and get say it again more seriously. She’s starting to be responsive with everything except meeting or even seeing people from a distance she wants to jump on everyone that passes her she’ll even cry after them when they walk past her I have not tried bringing squeaky toys on our walks however, I will try that this evening ! Is a half hour walk okay for a 6month old stuffy though? I try to bring her on two half hour walks one in morning one in evening and if I can’t then I try to do one 45-50 min walk but she’s just so hyper and wants to go out again after an hour so I am not sure if I am giving her enough exercise and maybe that’s why she’s so over the top? Or is the excitement at everything just a staff thing

Re: Puppy that loves people too much
I understand the cheekiness, Opium is 17 months old and in full on “teenage tantrums”, as says my instructor. Opium has always been hyper so I think it’s also part of her particular character.
Only use your squeeky toy as a last resort, or she’ll go off it, so to speak.
Puppy “imposed” exercise (on the lead) is 5 minutes per month of age so you’re ok with about 30 mins, twice a day. If she’s too hyper, maybe see if it’s due to her food ? Type and/or quantity. Also look into any treats you might be giving.
