Height of a staffy
Just checking with others how tall is a staffy pup around 5 months and the length of the back. As the one I have seems very tall and lanky and long? I did post before as was not sure she is a staffy but got responses saying she is.

Re: Height of a staffy
I know pics can sometimes be deceiving as some look bigger than what they are but she is very lanky

I had a quick measure of Katy, she is 18" to the shoulder. way over KC standards but still from staffie parents. She weighs in at 30kgs but fit & healthy & no fat!!

Re: Height of a staffy
I can’t give you any specific measurements but my Opium was weighing in at 10kgs at 5 months old.
Even though my girls are both KC registered SBT, they are very different in build. Nifty is very stocky whilst Opium is long and lanky too. She’s only a year old so Will probably fill out but she won’t be as chunky as Nifty. Both of my girls measure around 38cms so top end of breed specifications.
Bear in mind that there are 3 staffy types : bully (chunky and compact), terrier (tall and lanky), balanced (between the 2j.

Re: Height of a staffy
Thanks for your responses.. Generally the ones I have seen here in South Africa tend to he quite stocky but that is when they a bit older as have mot seen too many pups growing up other than my Jodie and she is not too stocky but not lanky and not short or tall and there are some shorter stocky ones around and also taller with bulk. I think one is not sure how they will turn out and esp as can change with time with little Mandy as domt know her parents. The white Amstaff I have is quite big and very thick build. And oh so noicey and boisterous:) thanks again nice to hear what others say

Re: Height of a staffy
Staffies are late bloomers and only start to “chunk out” after their first year.
All of your dogs are lovely, btw
