American bully Empty American bully

Post by Nifty staffy Sat Sep 07 2019, 21:24

I’m noticing that the new breed coming into fashion is the american bully.
Not really sure what they were looking to breed (some say a great family dog) but what in earth with the extreme conformation Surprised Deformed legs, uncomfortable confirmation, no harmony.
And as for the cut ear option I can only presume could do something for the street cred factor ? >=P

I really have just one question - WHY ??

They are getting so popular now. The poor dogs can hardly walk.

Yes, that’s the one. Apparently that would be classed as pocket (because of size or weight) and extreme (because of horrid silhouette)

I know everyone has different tastes but as Inez says, who would want something which essentially is crippled from conception ? Sad

Some of the larger ones without the extreme factor look like some bulldog/mastiff cross on steroids but the regression back to cut ears ? I mean, really?! thumbs down

More dogs to have major health issues, I have noticed they are becoming more popular on one of the fb sites I'm a member of Rolling Eyes As for ear cutting, it's an awful thing to do & I personally think it looks horrible! I love Katy's silky soft ears & can't stop stroking them Love Struck

Is ear cutting permitted in UK? Horrible practice.

No thankfully it's banned.

Why anyone would want to deform any part of an animal for looks is just beyond me. The owners should have their ears cut off first. Disgusting.

No, tg!

It was banned in the UK at the beginning of the 20th century, I think.

People say it was banned within the animal health act 2007, but I'm sure it was illegal when I got my first dog way back in the 70s.
