Proud of my boy thismorning! Empty Proud of my boy thismorning!

Post by dizzy Wed Sep 05 2018, 12:20

We were walking along a narrow pathway after a lovely,  long ramble over the fields,  when I saw a woman ahead of us with a black lab and a border collie. I politely asked her to put her dogs on their leads as I didn't know her or her dogs. Well next thing the lab has gone straight for Dodge, snapping and trying to bite him, closely followed by the collie. Dodge didn't retaliate at all, he ducked and dived to avoid being bitten, then he sat and waited for the other 2 dogs to be controlled. This took time as the woman had no control whatsoever of either dog. She ended up on the floor where the collie was so determined to get back to Dodge that it had pulled her over. She then had a go at me because my dog was on his lead! I was expecting an apology!
Well, words were said and I wasn't as calm and controlled as my dog! The cheek of her! And the pathway we were on has a sign saying 'dogs must be kept on lead' too.
But Dodge did me and his breed proud!

She was a very aggressive woman, I could see where her dogs got it from! But I had my say alright. It does seem to me that most of the time nice people have nice dogs and vice versa. Funny that!

Well done to you & Dodge, he’s clearly been brought up well thumbs up

Why is it in this day and age that when people are clearly in the wrong they try to project their guilt on to other people rather than accept that they are at fault and apologise angry

Thanks Ian. You're right you know, these days no one feels sorry as it is always someone else's fault!
